After ten International events, with the participation of over 600 antique sailboats, the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge, the principle race in classic sailing, came to a close in Cannes, on the occasion of the 34th edition of the Régates Royales (25-29 September). In the splendid location on the French Riviera, approximately 90 boats competed over the course of four regattas, often braving rain, wind and variable conditions that, along with the beauty of these historical vessels, brought this extraordinary sea-spectacle to life. The winning boats of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge Mediterranean Circuit, which includes regattas in Italy, France and Spain, were Moonbeam IV in the “Big Boat” category, Leonore in the “Antique” category and Naïf in the “Classic” category. Their names will be written in the circuit’s Hall of Fame, sponsored by Officine Panerai for the eighth consecutive year.
